The state chapter of the All Progressives Congress has questioned the public holiday declared today by Governor NYESOM WIKE.You will recall that Governor WIKE had earlier in the week set aside today as work-free day to enable the people of the state prepare for re-run assembly elections on Saturday, which has since been postponed to 19th March by the Independent National Electoral Commission.State Publicity Secretary of the APC, CHRIS FINEBONE said it was wrong for the governor to turn around and say the holiday was because of his Supreme Court victory, after he has already set aside 27th of January every year for that purpose. The APC spokesman said the pronouncement by Governor WIKE was nothing more than a poorly conceived attempt at self-adulation that belongs to the past.
