An APC chieftain in Omuma, DARLINGTON NWAUJU told our correspondent on telephone that the invaders were armed with machetes and other dangerous weapons to disrupt the meeting at Eberi Ward One.
He alleged that the hoodlums destroyed properties and left some APC members injured, including a former Vice Chairman of Omuma Local Council.
NWAUJU also complained that the police had failed to resolve cases of politically-motivated killings in Omuma in the build-up to the 2015 elections
A chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Omuma declined to comment on the allegation that the attack on the APC members had been carried out by PDP thugs.
