The Rivers State Government has declared Friday this week as public holiday to enable all Rivers people prepare for the re-run elections on Saturday.
Governor WIKE made the declaration while addressing thousands of civil servants at the Civil Service Secretariat in Port Harcourt.
The Rivers State Governor also warned that anyone who attempts to rig the re-run elections will be treated like an armed robber.
The warning marked a repeat of his earlier threat that anyone coming to Rivers State with the intention to rig elections should first write his will.
WIKE alleged that the APC in Rivers State intends to use the re-run elections to enter the political arena through the window.
The Rivers State Governor also declared that the 27th of January every year shall be observed as a public holiday in the state to commemorate the Supreme Court judgment that affirmed his election.
