The Paramount Ruler of Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State has called on inhabitants of the community who fled the area in the wake of violent cult clashes to return home.Eze BLESSING AHIAZUNWO WAGOR also urged residents of Isiokpo to embrace peace in the interest of the development of the community.Speaking in an interview with correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR at his palace, the Nye-Nwe Ali Isiokpo dismissed claims in some quarters that the violence was politically motivated.The Paramount Ruler commended the local government authority and security agencies for their efforts to ensure that normalcy was restored to Isiokpo. Eze WAGOR urged all aggrieved persons to take their complaints to the appropriate authorities for necessary mediatory intervention.The Isiokpo monarch observed that cult violence has spread across the land and called on those involved to stop further bloodshed in Ikwerre land and across Rivers State.Our Correspondent reports that the Nye-Nwe Ali Isiokpo has spent time visiting villages under his domain since the deadly attacks last Friday night.The royal father pleaded with the families of victims of the gun and arson attacks to join hands with the leadership of the community to chart a way forward.
