The Minister of Environment, AMINA MOHAMMED has paid an unannounced visit to Ogoni in Rivers State.AMINA MOHAMMED is driving the move by the Federal Government for the implementation of the report by the United Nations Environment Programme on the cleanup of Ogoni land of oil spills.Our correspondent reports that the Minister was accompanied by the Special Adviser to President on Amnesty, Brigadier General Boroh.The Federal Government team was received by the Coordinator of the Ogoni Solidarity Forum, CELESTINE AKPOBARI.The group proceeded to hold a meeting with Chief STEPHEN KOBANI and High Chief ERIC DOOH in Goi and Bodo communities in preparation for the take-off of the clean-up exercise. The latest visit is the second by the Environment Minister to Ogoni within the month of March, and third visit to Rivers State since her assuming office last year.
