The Independent National Electoral Commission says card reader machines will be fully deployed for the re-run elections in Rivers state.
INEC also disclosed that accreditation and voting will go on at the same time, during the re-run elections on 19th March.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, ANIEDI IKOIWAK disclosed this during a meeting with political stakeholders in the state.
He noted that the success of any electoral process is in the hands of politicians, and cautioned politicians who have plans to frustrate the efforts of the commission during the National and State Assembly elections in Rivers state to desist from the act.The Rivers Resident Electoral Commissioner further stated that the Commission will conduct the elections within the ambit of the Law.Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that leaders and candidates of the two main political parties in the state were present at the meeting.
