The Deputy Governor of Borno State, ZANNAH UMAR MUSTAPHA, has been buried.

The Deputy Governor of Borno State, ZANNAH UMAR MUSTAPHA, has been buried. ZANNAH UMAR MUSTAPHA was reported to have died while asleep over the weekend. According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the Borno State Government, USMAN SHUWA, no ailment was reported before the death of the Deputy Governor. The statement read that ZANNAH UMAR MUSTAPHA was to represent the Borno state government at the convocation of the Modibbo Adama University of Science and Technology, Yola. It added that the deceased was also scheduled to visit Borno State natives who are residing in the Internally Displaced Persons camps in Yola. Also President MUHAMMDU BUHARI has commiserated with the family of late ZANNAH MUSTAPHA and the People of Borno State for the loss of the Deputy Governor. In statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity FEMI ADESHINA, President BUHARI prayed that Almight Allah will receive the soul of ZANNAH MUSTAPHA  and grant him eternal rest.
The PDP has condoled the government and people of Borno State over the death of Deputy Governor, Alhaji ZANNAH UMAR Mustapha. In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, OLISA METUH, the party’s Acting National Chairman, Prince UCHE SECONDUS expressed shock over the sudden death of the deputy governor. The PDP commiserated with Mustapha’s family, and the All Progressives Congress over the loss and prayed God to grant the departed eternal rest.
