The Acting General Officer Commanding Seven Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier-General VICTOR EZUGWU has escaped an attack in Borno State.Our correspondent gathered that the convoy of Brigadier-General EZUGWU was ambushed by the Islamist Boko Haram insurgents, which comes amidst what appears to be an attempt by the group to make a comeback if the face of devastating blows by the military.It was gathered that Brigadier-General EZUGWU was on his way to Bama to visit troops when the incident happened earlier today.The Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel SANI USMAN said troops were able to clear the ambush, killing some of the terrorists and recovering vehicle and weapons from them.However; one soldier died in the exchange, while two others were wounded.
