The community people made the call, after some people who claimed to be quantity surveyors served them letters of demolition.
A youth leader in Rumuosi community, Akani Chibuike who confirmed the development to Today FM’s Sandra Kenneth, in an interview said if the Rivers State government is truly behind the demolition notice, due process must be followed.
Chibuike asked the government to properly negotiate with the people for their benefit.
Also speaking, the Community Development Committee Chairman of Rumuosi, Spencer Akani said the demolition will affect economic activities in the area.
Today FM learnt that the demolition of road side structures cuts across some local governments in the state, and will affect properties around seven point five meters of the road.
