The Rivers State House of Assembly has approved the 2026–2028 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) submitted by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, describing it as a necessary precursor to the state’s 2026 budget. Speaker Martin Amaewhule, during the House’s second legislative sitting of the fourth session, noted that the MTEF ought to have been presented in September
