Oil-bearing communities in Ogoniland have called on oil and gas companies operating in the region to create platforms that allow for active participation of host communities in their operations. The President of Ogoni oil-bearing communities, Donald Gberesuu, made the call shortly after a stakeholder engagement meeting organized by Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited in Port Harcourt.
