Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has praised Galatasaray’s determination and teamwork following their 3-1 comeback victory over Göztepe in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday night.
The Yellow and Reds overturned an early deficit to secure the win at the RAMS Park, keeping them firmly on top of the league table with 28 points — five ahead of second-placed Trabzonspor.
Speaking after the match, Osimhen commended his teammates for their resilience and credited the fans for their unwavering support.
“First, I want to congratulate the team. We were truly incredible mentally. Even after going 1-0 down, everyone gave everything to win,” Osimhen told the club’s official website. “I also want to thank our fans. Without them, it would have been impossible to stay so motivated. Bringing smiles to their faces means a lot to us, and we want to keep improving in the upcoming matches.”
The victory marked Galatasaray’s 100th win under manager Okan Buruk — a milestone Osimhen celebrated while paying tribute to the coach’s leadership and character.
“He absolutely deserves it. He’s not only a great coach but also a great person,” Osimhen said. “From a humanitarian perspective, I’m incredibly happy with his achievements. As players, we’re ready to give our all for him. He’s the best coach in Turkey, and we’re confident we’ll achieve great things together.”
Osimhen, who joined the Turkish champions earlier this season, has quickly become a key figure in the squad. His performances have helped strengthen Galatasaray’s title defense and raise hopes for further success in both domestic and European competitions.
