Sudan Endless Political Violence; Elite Military class gains.

The report entitled “War Crimes Shouldn’t Pay”, found that top officials ultimately responsible for mass atrocities in South Sudan have at the same time managed to accumulate fortunes, despite modest government salaries.

The report commissioned by Hollywood actor, GEORGE CLOONEY indicates that South Sudan’s politicians and top military officers have made themselves rich while the country struggled under a civil war of their making.

The report, which followed the trail of money with links to some influential families, indicted President SALVA KIIR and opposition leader RIEK MACHAR of profiteering.

The authors of the report spent two years collecting evidence and testimony on behalf of a new investigative unit – called The Sentry – which was co-founded by CLOONEY.

The document disclosed that some of those indicted have been involved in questionable business deals while others have apparently received large payments from corporations doing business in South Sudan.
