Somalia to suffer setbacks as Ethiopia withdraws troops.

The development is being viewed as a setback on the fight against Al-Shabab militants in Somalia.

But Ethiopian Communications Minister GETACHEW REDA told the BBC that the troops withdrawn from south-western Somalia were not part of Amisom.

The Ethiopian government blamed lack of international support for the move to pull out from Somalia.

The move comes after the European Union cut its funding for foreign troops in Somalia.

Following the development; some residents of Somalia’s Bakol region have already fled the area due to fear on invasion by Al-Shabab fighters.
