The Code of Conduct Amendment Bill of 2016 was passed after a clause-by-clause consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions.

Our correspondent JAMES IGAH again reports that one of the significant changes in the amendment is the substitution of the President of Nigeria with the National Assembly as the authority to confer powers on the Code of Conduct Bureau and the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
