The Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI announced the resumption date at the end of plenary yesterday.Meanwhile; the caucus of the All Progressives Congress in the Senate has passed a vote of confidence on the Administration of President MUHAMMADU BUHARI.The move by the APC Senators is intended to counter the decision by the Senate PDP Caucus on Wednesday to withdraw its support for the APC Administration.
Addressing newsmen after the Senate APC Caucus meeting, the Majority Whip, OLUSOLA ADEYEYE, described the position of the PDP Senators as partisan and insensitive.
Senator ADEYEYE noted that the fight against corruption by President BUHARI was not selective and cannot be said to be targeted at opposition politicians.
The APC Senators were also of the view that their PDP counterparts intend to scuttle Nigeria’s democracy by withdrawing their support for the APC-led Federal Government.
