The National President of NURSS, Precious Monmon, who made this in an interview with Today FM’s Sandra Kenneth, claimed Maxwell instituted parallel electoral bodies in the unions against their constitution.
Monmon called on the state government to intervene and call the Special Adviser on Students’ Affairs, stressing that failure to do so could lead to crisis.
Also speaking, the NURSS Senate President, Wellington Ominaberison, announced the expulsion of one Lebari Romanus for allegedly going against the union’s institution.
Reacting to the accusation, Lebari Romanus said NURSS does neither has governing body nor the constitutional power to expel or suspend him.
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to the Governor, Sonny Maxwell, dismissed the accusation made against him, saying he understands his duties and will not go do anything that is unlawful.
