This is in addition to other suit filed by the PDP against the National Assembly candidates of Accord.
The PDP is accusing accord of alleged violation of the provisions of the electoral act in the conduct of its party primaries.
Today FM’s Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the presiding judge, Justice Adamu Turaki-Mohammed after listening to the legal representatives adjourned to 23rd September, 2022 for hearing.
Speaking to newsmen outside the courtroom, counsel to Accord, senior advocate of Nigeria, Abdullahi Mohammed and that of the State Assembly candidates of the party, Abiodu Owonikoko explained the reason he asked the court to strike out the suit for lacking in merit.
The Governorship candidate of the Accord, Dumo Lulu-Briggs who was present at the court in solidarity with his party members accused the PDP of using state resources to fund the court.
Justice Adamu Turaki-Mohammed also adjourned to 16th of September, 2022 to hear a fresh suit against State House of Assembly candidates of the All Progressives Congress over alleged non-compliance to the electoral act in the conduct of their primaries.
