A socio-political pressure group, the Rivers Grassroots Movement, has endorsed the second-term bid of President Bola Tinubu. The endorsement was announced during the group’s mega rally held at Isaac Boro Park on Easter Monday, where supporters gathered to express their backing for the administration.
Speaking at the event, the National Leader of the group, Sobomabo Jackrich, popularly known as Egberi Papa, said the decision was based on what he described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration, particularly in Rivers State and the wider Niger Delta region. He also used the occasion to call on the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, to seek a second term in office.
Jackrich further commended President Tinubu for renewing the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to Tantita Security Services. According to him, the move has significantly reduced crude oil theft in the region and created over ten thousand jobs since the initiative began, while boosting economic activities in host communities.
