The Rivers State Government has approved the resumption of primary and secondary schools for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session, beginning Monday, April 20, 2026.
This directive was contained in an official statement issued by the Commissioner for Education, Peters Nwagor, who urged all stakeholders in the education sector to take note of the resumption date.
He directed both public and private schools across the state to commence academic and non-academic activities promptly, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the approved academic calendar.
The commissioner also mandated school administrators to strictly comply with existing guidelines and policies, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students as they return for the final term of the session.
