Rivers Deputy Governor Commends Task Force on Primary Healthcare Performance

The Rivers State Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Task Force on Primary Healthcare, Professor Ngozi Nma-Odu, has commended members of the task force for their commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery across the state.

Professor Nma-Odu gave the commendation during the 2026 second-quarter review meeting of the task force at Government House, Port Harcourt, describing its performance over the past three years as progressive and encouraging. She attributed the achievements to teamwork, healthy competition and dedication to service.

The Deputy Governor urged members to make the review meeting concise and result-oriented by focusing on key achievements, identified challenges and practical recommendations. She also commended the Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board, Dr. Chituru Adele, for providing effective leadership and ensuring the smooth coordination of administrative and field operations.
