One of the major beneficiaries of the State Amnesty Programme and repentant militant leader from Ogba-Egbe-Ndoni Local Government Area, EJIMA JOHNSON IGWEDIBIA is among those who are not comfortable with the delay the of the post-disarmament phase of the programme.

IGWEDIBIA, also known as DON WANI, challenged Governor NYESOM WIKE to fulfill his promise to repentant cultists in the state.

DON WANI who is now a traditional ruler of his community in ONELGA, also called on the Rivers State Government to enroll some three thousand repentant cultists in Gokana Local Government Area who were neglected by the Amnesty Implementation Committee.

The Chairman of the Rivers State Amnesty Implementation Committee, KENNETH CHINDA, said provisions have been made to accommodate the repentant cultists and criminals from Gokana.

CHINDA said the arrangement is that such persons would liaise with the Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government council to surrender their arms.

However, KENNETH CHINDA was silent on the complaint about the delay in the second phase of the amnesty programme, after disarming the cultists and criminals over five months ago.
