The Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors said civilians were shot with live bullets, calling it a massacre by the coup authorities who were seeking to disperse the protests.
The authorities have not yet commented on the reported deaths.
An eyewitness said several injured civilians could be seen bleeding heavily in streets after security forces fired tear gas to block protesters from approaching the presidential palace in Khartoum.
According to a tally from doctors in the country, more than seventy have died in protests since the October coup.
