Recession materialize; reactions trails

Some respondents who spoke to correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA believe the federal and state government including individuals has a big role to play in resolving the challenge of recession.

A Senior Lecturer from the Department of Economics in the University of Port Harcourt Doctor PETER MEDEE said the reduction in cost of production will go a long way in reviving the Nigerian Economy.

MEDEE also advised individuals to cut down on the demands for goods and services.

On his part a Public Affairs Analyst BORVE PAAGO stressed the need for state governments to constitute vibrant economic teams to also contribute in proffering solutions to the current economic crisis.

Reacting to the performance of the Central Bank of Nigeria in the face of the economic challenges in the country, the analysts called for a complete overhaul of the management for the apex bank.
