Quadri Aruna Drops One Spot in Latest ITTF World Rankings as Fatima Bello Climbs

Nigeria’s top table tennis player, Quadri Aruna, has dropped one place in the latest International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Rankings, while fellow Nigerian athlete Fatima Bello experienced a modest rise in the women’s category.

The ITTF’s week 27 rankings, published on Tuesday, show Aruna moving from 23rd to 24th position globally, despite maintaining his total of 1,140 points. The 36-year-old did not participate in any tournaments during the review week, and his slight drop was due to point movements by other players.

Aruna’s current ranking reflects his accumulated points from notable performances, including his runner-up finish at the 2025 ITTF African Cup in Tunis, which earned him 350 points, and his semi-final appearance at the WTT Star Contender in Doha earlier this year, which added 210 points.

Meanwhile, Fatima Bello recorded a modest improvement in the women’s rankings, marking progress in her efforts to climb the international ladder. The updated rankings continue to showcase Nigeria’s presence in the global table tennis scene.
