Super Eagles defender Kevin Akpoguma is set to begin a new chapter in Italy after agreeing to a two-year contract with newly promoted Serie A club Frosinone. The deal is expected to be finalized after the completion of the remaining formalities.
The 31-year-old joins the Italian side as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Bundesliga club Hoffenheim, where he spent more than a decade. Akpoguma is expected to strengthen Frosinone’s defence as the club prepares for its return to the Italian top flight.
The move marks Akpoguma’s first experience outside German football and offers the Nigerian international an opportunity to revive his career with regular first-team football in Serie A.
