The meeting is to discuss the disbursement of last tranche of the Paris and London Club Loan refunds.
The meeting which is said to be at the request of the Governors, is to seek the President’s approval for the final release of two hundred billion naira Paris Club refund.
The latest demand by the governors is to enable them fulfil their obligations to workers and pensioners and pay other bills in their various states.
President BUHARI had approved the payment of the first tranche of five hundred and twenty-two billion naira in December last year.
The Federal Government also released a cash sum of two hundred and forty-three point eighty billion naira as the second tranche of Paris Club refunds.
With the release of the second tranche, the total amount disbursed to the states stands at seven hundred and sixty-five point eight billion naira.
