Following the development; the state government is calling for the disbandment of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Commissioner for Information and Communications, AUSTIN TAM-GEORGE, said the current leadership of INEC under Professor MAHMOOD YAKUBU lacks competence.
The Commissioner alleged that INEC colluded with the All Progressives Congress to delay the elections, thereby denying the Rivers State full representation in the National Assembly.
