You will recall that the Police High Command had in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, JIMOH MOSHOOD, alleged that Senator ISAH HAMMA MISAU did not properly retire from the police before going into politic.
The Force spokesman also alleged that Senator MISAU forged his retirement letter after deserting the Nigeria Police Force to avert disciplinary action, stressing that the Force would take appropriate action against him.
Following the allegations, the Police Service Commission has invited Senator MISAU to come forward and authenticate his letter of retirement from the Police Force.
Senator MISAU is expected to appear before a Special Panel set up by the Commission to investigate allegations of bribery in consideration of police officers for special promotions.
A letter by the Commission, summoning Senator MISAU to appear on 6th September, was signed by the Chairman of the Special Panel, retired Justice O. ADEKEYE.
The invitation was confirmed in a statement released by the Head of Press and Public Relations of the PSC, IKECHUKWU ANI.
He said the Commission activated the move against the Senator following the receipt of a complaint from the Nigeria Police Force Special Investigation Panel at the Force Headquarters.
