Police Probe Suspected Cult Attack That Killed Student in Port Harcourt

The Rivers State Police Command has launched an investigation into a suspected cult-related attack that led to the death of a student in Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the incident occurred around Cecilia Road in the Rumuolumeni area. Police officers responded swiftly to the scene and rushed the victim to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), where he was later confirmed dead.

Preliminary investigations indicate the attack may be linked to ongoing rival cult clashes in the area.

Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has assured residents that the Command is intensifying efforts to curb cultism and restore peace. He urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement by providing useful information to aid the investigation.
