The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has expressed its support for the Federal Government’s decision to maintain the Naira-for-Crude policy.
National President of PETROAN, Dr. Billy Harry, emphasized the numerous advantages of this policy. Speaking through the association’s spokesperson, Dr. Joseph Obere, he highlighted that one of the key benefits is the potential reduction in the pump price of petrol.
Dr. Obere further noted that the Naira-for-Crude policy would help diminish Nigeria’s reliance on foreign exchange for importing petroleum products. This shift is seen as a crucial step towards enhancing local economic stability and promoting the use of the national currency in pivotal sectors of the economy.
