This is the position of the Petroleum Product Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria, which assured that there is currently no indication of scarcity or increase in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, popularly called cooking gas.
State Chairman of PETROAN, Francis Dimkpa in an interview with Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe, however noted that there is the fear of possible scarcity or a hike in the price of cooking gas as a result of the decision of the NLNG to suspend the production of gas, due to the flooding.
Today FM reports that one kilogram of cooking gas is still being sold at eight hundred naira.
