This time a group of Concern Youths of Etche as part of their Strategies staged a peaceful protest in major roads and streets of the area with 14 days ultimatum issued to the government to construct the road.
The Protesters who were led by Forum Fred complained that hoodlums now take advantage of the bad state of the road to carry out their activities which he said was dangerous for the road users.
Fred threatened that after the expiration of the 14 days ultimatum, they will be left with no other option than to take to the street since it appears that is the only language that the government understands.
Some other youths Nicholas Iwuji and Solomon Osinanwata-Nweke who also spoke to newsmen criticized some individuals led by some politicians for attempting to disrupt the protest said Etche People can no longer access Port Harcourt because of the state of the road and called for urgent Intervention by the government.
Our Correspondent reports that the protest which started around Ibeke, terminated around Igbo Etche-Eleme road after they defiled an attempt by some individuals to stop them.
