PDP disagree over police report on Dec 10 rerun.

State Publicity Secretary of PDP, SAMUEL NWONOSIKE, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that the outcome of the police probe headed by DCP DAMIAN OKORO did not indict Governor NYESOM WIKE or any Rivers PDP chieftain.

WANOSIKE challenge the police panel to mention the names of those involved in the alleged bribery of electoral officers deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the supplementary poll on December 10.

He further claimed that the report by the Police Panel was bias and predetermined, and therefore not acceptable to the Rivers PDP.

On his part; the Public Secretary of APC in Rivers State, CHRIS FINEBONE, said the party welcomes the report of the police investigation.

FINEBONE said the APC feels a sense of vindication about the claim by the police panel that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission were bribed by the Rivers State Government to rig the rerun elections.

The APC spokesman underscored the revelation by the police that the Rivers State Government had bribed election officials to the tune of three hundred and sixty million naira, out of which one hundred and ten million naira was recovered.

He said the revelation goes to support the repeated alarm raised by the APC during the general elections of 2015 and the rerun of 2016 that electoral officials were bribed before and during every election in Rivers State.

FINEBONE said the APC was throwing a challenge to Governor NYESOM WIKE and the PDP to tell the world whether they did not bribe INEC officials as alleged and discovered by the Police Panel.
