Opposition politicians in Rivers State have been enjoined to join hands with Governor NYESOM WIKE to develop the state.
Speaking against the backdrop of the Supreme Court judgment on the Rivers State governorship election dispute, the Chairman of Rukpokwu Council of Chiefs and Elders, THEOPHILUS WORKPOR said he had no doubt that Governor WIKE would make a difference in the state.WORKPOR also advocated for the people of Rivers State to work together towards maintaining peace, security and progress in the state.Meanwhile; the issue of insecurity remains a major concern to residents of Port Harcourt.Some members of the public who spoke with our correspondent, FELIX OJOGWU agreed that government need to work closely with the citizens to tackle the challenge.Chief NELSON JOHN who is a community stakeholder in Rumuepirikom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, said government should not be blamed for the problem of insecurity.Correspondent FELIX OJOGWU reports that fresh recruitment of security volunteers across the local government areas in Rivers State.
