Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor YEMI OSINBAJO said the goal of the fight against corruption is meant to push for a stronger, stable and sustainable internal political system in the country.
Professor OSINBAJO’s message was delivered at the annual conference of the Inter Party Advisory Council held today in Abuja.
The Vice President who was represented by the Special Adviser to President on Political Matters, Senator BABAFEMI OJUDU, said the Buhari Administration has not taken sides on the anti-corruption war.
In his submission; the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor MAHMOUD YAKUBU who was represented by a National Commissioner, called on opposition parties to step up their role of keeping the ruling party in check.
Our correspondent reports that the Senate President, Senator BUKOLA SARAKI who was also represented by Senator IBRAHIM TUKUR, called for synergy between political parties and the National Assembly to strengthen Nigeria’s electoral system.
