Wike, during the ceremony was coroneted as the, Okurume one of Obio/Akpor.

Speaking after he was coroneted, Wike thanked the people of Obio/Akpor for their unwavering support for him, from his time as a local government chairman.

Speaking further, Wike stated that the transition period is the most difficult period of any politician, where people will begin to show their true self.

Wike said he is now a pensioner and is waiting for the Governor to pay him his pension and gratuity.

He further called on elders in the state to respect Governor Fubara, despite his young age.
