Our correspondent gathered that the meeting was attended by leaders of thought in the community, as well as representatives of the youth group.
Speaking on telephone with our correspondent, Eze NYEGWA maintained that he remains in charge as Paramount Ruler of Rumuagholu.
Eze NYEGWA also warned the Obio-Akpor Caretaker Chairman COLLINS ONUNWO to stay clear from the affairs of community because it was not a political issue.
Eze NYEGWA observed that by his action, the Local Government Caretaker Chairman had assumed the position of a judge to decide on a matter that is still pending in court.
The Traditional Ruler warned that COLLINS ONUNWO should be held responsible for inciting crisis in Rumuagholu.
He questioned the council chairman’s special interest in Rumuagholu affair when several other communities in Obio-Akpor are facing similar disputes over their traditional stools.
Also speaking; the Legal Adviser to Eze NYEGWA, CHRISTOPHER EMEKA, said his client could not make submission to the investigative committee of the local government chairman because of the pending court matter.
The lawyer said they also discovered that the Obio-Akpor Caretaker Chairman did not notify the Department of State Service about his purported security concern on Rumuagholu, which he claimed as the basis for his intervention.
On their part; the Chairman and Secretary of the Council of Rumuagholu Council of Chiefs and Elders, Chief HAROLD NWORGU and Chief VINCENT AMADI affirmed that the community was behind Eze NYEGWA as the authentic Paramount Ruler.
Chief HAROLD NWORGU and Chief VINCENT AMADI are members of the Rumuagholu Council of Chiefs under Eze SAMUEL NYEGWA as Paramount Ruler.
