NURSS beckons on Wike to Revisit Issues of bursary for students on Tertiary Intitutions.

The national secretariat of NURSS under the leadership of DAN-JUMBO VINCENT as National President is holding Governor to his earlier promise during a meeting with the leadership of the union over a month ago.

According to a statement obtained by our correspondent, DAN-JUMBO noted that the interaction between the Governor and the union leaders has helped to renew the hope and confidence of Rivers students on his administration.

He said despite the lack of funds and the prevailing economic downturn; Governor WIKE promised to ensure that Rivers students are paid bursary as palliative to face the challenging times.

NURSS is also holding Governor WIKE to his promise to appoint a Special Assistant on Students Affairs that would serve as liaison between government and the students.

The National Association of Rivers State Students is of the view that the appointment of the Special Assistant should be done without further delay to kick start the process of supervise the process leading to the payment of bursary.
