NULGE Links Delay in the payment of salaries of some local government workers in Rivers State to the drop in the revenue allocation from the Federation Account.

The State President of NULGE, FRANKLIN AJINWO said some local government council have been receiving allocations that are less than their wage bill.

AJINWO who made the disclosure in an interview with correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA also confirmed that the State Government has been up to date in the release of statutory allocation of local government councils.

He said local government councils that are not affected by the revenue shortfall have paid salaries of their workers up to the month of June
