The naval exercise is in line with efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen security around Nigeria’s Atlantic coast.
The Flag-Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral JAMES OLUWOLE presided over the flag-off ceremony.
The Naval Officer told newsmen that the exercise was meant to boost the capacity of the command in the fight against sea pirates and to enhance the security of critical oil and gas infrastructure in the maritime domain.
