Nigeria Army 7th Division, court marshal’s soldiers.

The convicted soldiers, whose names were withheld, were serving with Operation LAFIYA DOLE in the ongoing battle against Boko Haram terrorists in the north-east of Nigeria.

 

The jailed officer was found to have assaulted a minor, while the second convict was demoted from the rank of Captain after he was convicted on a one-count charge of prejudice to military discipline.

 

Similarly; the General Court Marshal sentenced a navy rating to six months imprisonment for disorderly behaviour and insubordinations.

 

The verdicts were delivered the President of the court, Brigadier General OG ADENIYI, who said the sentences would serve as deterrent to others.

 

The development was contained in a statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel KINGSLEY SAMUEL who is the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations of Seven Division.
