The newly appointed Chairman of Bori Market, Government Tigidam, has pledged to transform the market into a thriving commercial hub, in line with the vision of the Administrator of Khana Local Government Area, Professor Barinedum Nwibere.
In a statement, Tigidam said the market, which is currently in a dilapidated state, will be upgraded to attract both local and international traders. He noted that the transformation would boost economic activity and create job opportunities for the youth in the area.
He also revealed plans to relocate traders from Monsoon Street to the main market and regulate evening market operations to commence from 6 p.m.
Tigidam further announced that all arrangements have been concluded for the official commissioning of the newly developed Bori Park by Professor Nwibere on Saturday.
