Ogbuku who listed the states to include; Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta, while responding to questions from newsmen in Port Harcourt, said the NDDC was doing a lot including distribution of relief material in mitigating the negative effect of the natural disaster.
The NDDC boss said the initiative aims to discourag the use of schools for camping of flood victims and will also serve as camps for other groups after the flood.
Ogbuku further assured that the commission was working towards mitigating the effect of erosion with the use of Joie two systems, rather then Shiet Pai which was previously used in curbing erosion
