Napoli Set Osimhen Deadline For Galatasaray To Complete Deal

Scudetto champions Napoli have set a deadline for Galatasaray to get their paperwork in order for Victor Osimhen, having agreed terms on the anti-Serie A clause and percentage issues, Football Italia reports.

The negotiations dragged on all summer after Osimhen spent last season in Istanbul on loan, where he scored 37 goals, provided eight assists in 41 appearances.

Napoli are finally getting close to a full agreement, but that does not mean they are prepared to wait forever to get this over the line.

Their patience is wearing thin and we can reveal they have set a deadline of Monday, believing this is sufficient for Galatasaray to get all the necessary paperwork in order.

The most difficult issues are out of the way, it will be €40m upfront and the remaining €35m paid in instalments by June 2026.

Crucially, Galatasaray accepted the insertion of a clause forcing them to pay a huge fine if Osimhen is sold to another Serie A side within the next two years.

The final sticking point, a percentage of the sell-on fee, is not something that Napoli will cling to, as they realise it is not the most important part of this deal.

It is in the interests of everyone, above all Osimhen, to get this over the line.
