MOSOP Mourns Senator Barry Mpigi, Describes Death as Great Loss to Ogoni Nation

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has expressed shock over the recent death of Senator Barry Mpigi, describing his passing as a major loss to the people of Tai and the entire Ogoni ethnic nationality.

In a statement signed by its leader, Andah Wai-Ogosu, MOSOP said the late lawmaker would be greatly missed for his contributions to the development of Ogoni land.

The group noted that Senator Mpigi made significant impact through his legislative efforts, particularly by sponsoring a bill that paved the way for the establishment of the Federal University of Environment.

MOSOP prayed for God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
