Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has said that no individual or group should be allowed to hold Nigeria captive for personal or political gain, especially as elections draw closer.
The governor stated that the country does not belong to kidnappers or criminal elements seeking to destabilise peace and security.
Okpebholo made the declaration during a visit to LoveWorld City, Christ Embassy, Benin City, where he urged members of the congregation to pray against kidnapping, cultism, and other security challenges facing the nation.
He stressed the need for collective action and spiritual support in addressing insecurity and ensuring peace across the country.
