Members of the House of Representatives Committee on the Nigerian Army have visited Ogoni communities where troops clashed with armed hoodlums recently.

The Federal Lawmakers stopped at Yeghe community in Gokana Local Government Area and Seamea community in Tai Local Government Area.
The group also visited Zaakpo and Bori in Khana Local Government Area, as part of their fact-finding mission to Rivers State.
Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that House Committee members were also at the home of fugitive former militant leader, SOLOMON NDIGBARA at Yeghe.The legislators also inspected the Campaign Office of APC Candidate for Rivers South East Senatorial District, Senator MAGNUS ABE, in Bori, which was attacked by arsonists in the heat of campaigns for the re-run elections on 19th of March.Speaking after the inspection tour, the leader of the delegation and Chairman of the House Committee on Army, SHAWULU-KWEWUN advised Ogoni people to always engage in dialogue as a means to resolve issues and maintain peace.Our correspondent, UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the visiting Federal Lawmakers were shown around the affected Ogoni communities by the Caretaker Chairmen for Khana, Gokana and Tai Local Government areas.
