Members of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents and the Amalgamation of Trucking Associations are protesting against the poor condition of access roads to the seaports in Apapa and Tin-Can Island.

Similarly; the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria has issued a twenty-one-day notice to the Federal Government to rehabilitate the Oshodi-Apapa dual carriage way or face a total shutdown of the maritime sector.

The President of the union, Prince ADEWALE ADEYANJU, expressed sadness that the access roads to Apapa and Tin-Can Ports were in a deplorable condition.

Prince ADEYANJU said the union had written several letters and ultimatums over the state of the roads but without any meaningful response from the government.

He also noted that hoodlums had been taking advantage of the deplorable roads to perpetuate all sorts of crimes.
