Manchester United have initiated discussions with Aston Villa regarding a potential move for striker Ollie Watkins as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Watkins is among several strikers on United’s shortlist, which also includes Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. However, Aston Villa are keen to retain Watkins and have reportedly set a valuation of around £60 million for the England international.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Aston Villa have expressed interest in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, potentially opening the door for negotiations involving both players.
